i was. i always planned to become a nun, in my youth. it was the only thing i wanted. it didn't end up working out that way, but i still love the church, and God, as deeply as one's able. i was touched by your psalm.
Of a kind. The faith of my childhood was taken from me. Instead, I was raised to know the many wandering faiths of my Maker, who was half in love with theology, and later, my Masters. I served God for a long time as only a vampire can, an example of His justice and mercy, the Children of His misbegotten angel. We lived in the shadows to prove the generosity of His light. So we were told, and so we believed, for two centuries.
Now, I'm not sure. I reach for God in my own way. And there are many gods here, of course, walking among us.
